The Southwest and Capital trails will soon be connected to the Badger trail. After completion, bicyclists can ride from Madison to Illinois without leaving a trail. The cost to connect was a mere $500,000.
For those of you wondering what the ride will be like check out the map below. The bike route will go from Madison to Belleville then on to Monticello through Monroe and into Orangeville Illinois.
