According to a recent study "Transportation in Transition," Madison and Milwaukee are two of the top three urbanized areas in the entire country with the largest decrease in miles traveled in cars. According to the study, the proportion of people biking to work increased in 85 of the 100 of America's largest Urban Areas.
Thanks to the Wisconsin Bike Fed, the Nations oldest and best bicycle advocacy organization, Madison and Milwaukee (along with many other cities throughout Wisconsin) are constantly improving bicycle infrastructure, laws, and other policies to make it safer and more fun to bike in Wisconsin.
