Thanks to WIN cycling, there will be a mountain bike race at Cascade Mt. for middle and high school girls and boys. According to its mission statement:
WIN Cycling is dedicated to facilitating the establishment of school based mountain bike clubs in communties throughout Wisconsin. The organization will be a resource for leadership, coaching, training, volunteer, fund raising, and development programs, including the organization and administration of a race series to provide an avenue of spirited competition and community building for these student clubs.
The race, held September 28, 2013, features:
Course laps of 5 miles in length of moderate technical challenge, emphasizing fitness this course includes a variety of climbs, descents, double track, single track, some rocks and roots, and switchbacks. Free t shirt included when registering before 9 CT Sept. 23.
