When is bike to work week in Wisconsin? This year it takes place from Monday, June 8, 2009 to Friday, June 12, 2009. Wisconsin's bike to work week takes place at a different time than the National bike to work week.
What type of activities can you expect to see in Madison for bike to work week?
Plan on commuter stops that provide help to commuters. These will be positioned at Capital City Trail at Broom Street and other areas common to Madison bicycle commuters.
Also plan on the Isthmus commuter breakfast on Tuesday, June 9, 2009; bike to work with Mayor Dave on Tuesday, June 9, bike to the Mallards game on Wednesday June 10, bike trivia night on Thursday June 11 at Cafe Montmartre, and a final celebration at Vilas Park on Friday, June 12.
Personally, I plan on attending several of these events and am looking forward to biking to the Mallard's game where there will be bike valets, a cookout with food courtsey of Whole Foods, and a Bike Fed of Wisconsin member gets to throw the first pitch. Can't wait.
