Bicycle riders in Madison and throughout Wisconsin are fortunate to have many local bicycle races and triathlons. Even so, there may be times when it is necessary to travel with your bicycle.
If you plan on flying with your bike, you will need to box it up first. I would reccomend taking it to one of the many great local bike shops in Madison or Verona.
If however, you prefer to box it yourself, you may find the following link helpful. It was written by my friend JT Lyons in San Diego, CA. It includes step by step instructions for boxing a bike and also has photos to make things really easy. Now all you need are the right tools, a box, and a bunch of time. (maybe you really should just take your bike to the local shop)
